Welcome to Chardstock Bowls  Club

Chardstock Bowls Club was established in 1957 on the site of an old quarry. It was opened by Mr A Lisle-Smith and, at that time, the Clubhouse was a large wooden shed. In the 1980s the membership was 60 players.

Nowadays we have a mixed membership of men and lady players of both long experienced and new bowlers. We play matches in the Men's Over 60s Triples League and also Friendly matches against many other clubs in the area from Exmouth across to Bridport and up to  the Yeovil area and across to Tiverton and Hemyock.

The green is open from mid April through to mid September each year and as well as the League and Friendly matches held on weekdays and weekends, we have Roll up sessions held on Monday evenings where players have the opportunity for coaching assistance.

Various Mens and Ladies Club competitions are held during the season and end with the Club Finals Days in September. We also have an Annual Club Dinner held in November during which we present the Club Trophies and Certificates.
